Starlink is a network of thousands of satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO). The satellites are located at three altitudes – 240 km, 550 km and 1150 km. Their purpose is to provide internet connectivity in places where wired or cellular connectivity is not possible.
The Starlink system allows you to transfer data directly to and from the satellite without the need for a broadband, fiber or cell phone connection . This amazing solution is useful in case of disasters . In the past, Starlink has helped keep in touch during the January 2022 eruption of the Tonga volcano.
Currently , Starlink will ensure a reliable connection of Ukraine with the Internet at a time when local Internet service providers and mobile operators cannot provide network access .
The Starlink version is an unequivocal declaration of Elon Musk’s opposition to Russia.
