Even in years like 2020 and 2021, nothing prevents Apple from creating and launching new products during a series of launch events.

Four such events took place in 2021: the Spring Party on April 20, the WWDC conference on June 7, the iPhone premiere on September 14, and Mac computers on October 18.

In 2020, there was an additional ceremony in November.

In 2023, Apple has held one event so far – the Apple Peak Performance Spring event on March 8, where it revealed the new iPhone SE , iPad Air , Mac Studio and Studio Display devices.

The first keynote was recorded in 2023 in history, and now we know the date of the second.

What happens at the Apple conference?

In a typical year there are usually up to four Apple events where the company presents its latest products and plans during an introductory speech to a large audience.

In less common years like 2020 and 2021, Apple doesn’t actually invite you to events, but they impress you no less. Invite everyone to participate in the webcast .

At WWDC in 2023, the Apple Theater will have a limited audience – students and programmers – but everything will be broadcast in the same format as in the past few years, and not filmed in front of an audience.

Apple usually puts on four such events a year, but some years there won’t be a Spring party, and in others Apple skips the October party.

Based on previous years, you can expect Apple to look something like this in 2023:

  • March/April (mostly including iPads)
  • June (WWDC – mostly software, sometimes high end/professional hardware)
  • September (iPhone and Apple Watch )
  • October (consumer iPads and Macs)

When will the next Apple conference be held?

WWDC 2023 will start on Monday, June 6th .

Apple parties usually start at 10 am in California, which is 19:00 Polish time . Apple events usually last 1-2 hours.

WWDC 2023 conference

  • Monday 6th June 2023 – Confirmed

The date for WWDC 2023 isn’t surprising – it’s the date we’ve come to expect from the usual WWDC dates. With the exception of 2020, the conference has been held in the first week of June, with one or two exceptions.

These are the WWDC start dates in previous years. The party lasts a whole week and the main event always takes place on a Monday.

  • 2021: June 7
  • 2020: June 22
  • 2019: June 3
  • 2018: June 4
  • 2017: 5 June
  • 2016: June 13
  • 2015: June 8

It may seem like a distant future, but we’re already hearing about products that could debut at WWDC 2023, including:

  • The new iMac Pro. Apple has pulled the 27-inch iMac from its offering (at least for now), but rumors abound of a new iMac Pro coming soon. Many people hope that the iMac Pro will appear with the M1 Ultra at WWDC.
  • Without a doubt, Apple will have a lot of work to do to update the Mac Pro — assuming they keep it on display. If the Mac Pro meets the requirements of its intended market, it needs to be easy to use and expandable. Plus, you have to beat the already impressive Mac Studio with the M1 Ultra.
  • The launch of Mac Studio leaves the future of the rest of Intel’s Mac mini uncertain, but it’s still possible that Apple could replace Intel’s Mac mini with the M1 Pro or M1 Max-powered Mac mini. If not, the Mac mini M2 is expected by the end of the year.
  • Many rumors also indicate that Apple is working on a new look for the MacBook Air with the M2 chip. We can see it with the new 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2.
  • Of course, we will hear about the next releases of Apple’s operating systems – WWDC is very focused on these updates. So you can expect to find out all about macOS 13 and iOS 16 and their release date.

iPhone premiere in September 2023

  • Tuesday, September 13th or Wednesday, September 14th, 2023 – and expect

Who knows what fall 2023 will bring, but Apple has launched a new iPhone almost every September for the past decade so its premiere seems almost certain.

2020 was an exception to this rule — the iPhone launched in October, but the company held an event in September anyway. Apple seems to love hosting September events.

This is what the September conferences and iPhone premieres have looked like in recent years:

  • 2021: Tuesday, September 14
  • 2020: Tuesday, September 15 (no iPhone event)
  • 2019: Tuesday, September 10
  • 2018: Wednesday, September 12th
  • 2017: Tuesday, September 12
  • 2016: Wednesday, September 7
  • 2015: Wednesday, September 9
  • 2014: Tuesday, September 9
  • 2013: Tuesday, September 10
  • 2012: Wednesday, September 12

Based on the aforementioned dates, we expect that this year’s premiere will take place on Tuesday, September 13th, or Wednesday, September 14th, 2023 .

What exactly can we expect from this conference? Here is the list of products:

  • iPhone 14 seems confirmed. In 2023, the product line is expected to consist of two medium iPhones and two large iPhones. Apparently, there will be no iPhone mini in 2023.
  • The Apple Watch Series 8 premiere is also likely. Perhaps in 2023 we will see a redesign of the Apple Watch that was rumored in 2021 but never came out.
  • Apple introduced the third generation AirPods in October 2021, but rumors say that in 2023 there will be the new AirPods Pro 2. An iPhone-related event seems most likely.

Mac premiere October 2023

  • Tuesday, October 12, 2023 – and expect

In October 2020, Apple introduced the iPhone 12.

However, it was an unusual year and it was only natural that the iPhone was first shown in September.

October is usually the month when Apple announces new Macs and iPads .

Are you wondering which date to choose for 2023? Last October’s events occurred (or not) on the following dates:

  • 2021: Monday, October 18th
  • 2020: Tuesday 13 October
  • 2019: No event
  • 2018: Tuesday, October 30
  • 2017: No event
  • 2016: Thursday, October 27
  • 2015: No event
  • 2014: Thursday, October 16
  • 2013: Tuesday, October 22
  • 2012: Tuesday, October 23
  • 2011: Tuesday, October 4

Based on the aforementioned dates, we expect that this year’s premiere will take place on Tuesday, October 12, or Wednesday, October 13, 2023 . What exactly can we expect from this conference? Here is the list of products:

  • In November 2023, it will have been exactly two years since the first Mac M1 appeared, and Apple has announced that it will complete the transition from Intel to its own silicon in two years. Hopefully, Apple will offer M-series chips for all of its Macs, but if they haven’t already, we’ll be sure to see them at the fall gathering.
  • The iPad Pro will also likely receive the M2 chip during the event, though we’d expect to see it in Macs first. Read about the iPad Pro from 2023.
