Comparison of the performance of smartphones iPhone 13 and Galaxy S22
Paying attention to the results achieved by individual smartphones in the benchmarks, they should not be indifferent to this information. iPhone 13 or Galaxy S22?
iPhone 13, Galaxy S22, A15 Bionic, or Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1?
A lot is already known about the A15 Bionic processors and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It was sure that after the premiere of the Galaxy S22 series smartphones, it would once again come to the fore. We didn’t wait long, because the first performance comparisons of the iPhone 13 and Galaxy S22 started to land on the net.
Comparison between Samsung S22 and iPhone 13
The main proposals of Apple and Samsung have already been verified by the pcmag portal. It is difficult to speak of an even greater surprise, smartphones from the Korean manufacturer that entered the market here give results very similar to those that we dealt with, for example, in the prototypes of the premiere. In terms of performance, the A15 Bionic has a notable advantage over the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, not only in single-core and multi-core tests, but also in terms of machine learning. On average, we can talk about differences of about 30%. That’s a lot, we’ll definitely hear about at Apple conferences.
Of course, we are talking here only about synthetic tests. Manufacturers like to flaunt it, but in everyday use, both smartphones (both series, because they have many proposals) will work great. However, you need to remember that they work under the control of other operating systems, which is just why they offer a slightly different experience.
It is not surprising that the Galaxy S22 is more powerful than the Galaxy S21

In this regard, perhaps the comparisons between the Galaxy S22 and its predecessor make more sense. In this aspect, an improvement of about 10% can be observed. But we’re talking about smartphones with Qualcomm processors all the time, and that doesn’t apply to us. Variants with Samsung’s own processors are coming to Europe, in the case of the Galaxy S22 series, it’s the Exynos 2200.
Is Galaxy S22 processor Exynos 2200 better or worse?
What does this mean for us? We won’t see better numbers in benchmarks, the Exynos 2200 is a little less efficient than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Will we only have reasons to grumble again?
We are behind the first contact with the Galaxy S22 and we are not surprised, the new smartphones work perfectly and every day everyone (except for iOS lovers) should be satisfied. Aside from efficiency, other issues are also important, such as a widely understood work culture, temperatures and potential throttling. And just by looking wider, we may finally smile. pcmag editors comparing the Galaxy S22 to the Galaxy S21 equipped with Qualcomm processors note that new smartphones reach higher temperatures significantly faster and have problems associated with them. So much so that they hope that the manufacturer can eliminate it at least a little with software fixes.
We are, of course, testing the Galaxy S22 with an Exynos 2200 processor for our market, and soon we will be able to tell you more about what the smartphone and the processor will all look like.
