Over the past year and a half, IDG has acquired promising technology companies: Triblio, KickFire and LeadSift, and yesterday the Selling Simplified Group (SSG), a leading global marketing-as-a-service (MaaS) platform that provides ground-breaking generation products. and data and analysis services. The sale of simplified database creation and demand generation software is expected to contribute to the development of IDG’s data and technology platform.

Founded in 2012 by Michael Whife (CEO) and Jaga Sidhu (COO), SSG is built on a strong foundation of data and technology. The company is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, and employs 285 people in 12 countries. SSG excels at digital lead generation, content aggregation, B2B marketing automation, and increased customer engagement. Simplified’s current selling clients include some of the world’s leading B2B brands and agencies, including Juniper Networks, Mediacom, Marketo and Just Global.

The acquisition of Selling Simplified allows IDG to add AI-powered contacts and lead account-level leads to its growing suite of intent-based marketing techniques.

Simplified selling provides two different options for product development within IDG:

The first is a global pool of over 160 million B2Bs with the goal of buying tech industry records, which can be added to IDG’s existing owned audience, creating the world’s largest addressable database of technology decision makers and influencers.

The second platform is a marketing technology platform that identifies and evaluates signals of intent based on campaign engagement using machine learning. The Demandcentr system constantly monitors the behavioral context and builds an understanding of the purchase intent of each contact and account in the database. Aggregated data and marketing technology identify the most valuable contacts that can be used to sell or further nurture potential customers.
