I have never been a fan of streaming movie content online. I have avoided public speaking, audio recording, let alone live broadcasting. However, over time, I began to convince myself to record video materials for a blog, as well as as a supplement to reviews and tests. However, I do not do serious and active shooting, because once – at the moment there is an abundance of them on the Internet, and secondly – I prefer writing to talk to the camera … After all, I run a blog, not another movie channel out of a thousand. Today, the well-known brand of gaming equipment, Razer, is coming up with such an initiative, with two devices aimed at streaming avid content. The manufacturer provides a wider audience with the Razer Seiren BT wireless microphone and the Razer Key Light Chroma lamp that illuminates the scene . The devices can work independently, but the manufacturer also introduced a new application for managing the Razer Streaming application for them, which is available for mobile operating systems: Android and iOS. More importantly, it is also possible to pair devices with a desktop computer ( Windows 10/11 ) and manage them from the dedicated software level. Devices received for testing prior to first show.
Before we start the test
Due to the fact that the devices are subject to a single management application, I decided to describe them together in this blog post. I realize that more advanced computer users already have their favorite recording accessories, but it’s also fun to offer an alternative that comes straight from the leading electronics pioneers for gamers. So, I will start by introducing the Razer Seiren BT microphone, then I will focus on the capabilities of the Razer Key Light Chroma flashlight , and finally I will discuss the possibilities of pairing them in a dedicated application, as well as with a desktop computer.
So small and full of possibilities [Razer Seiren BT]
The first fire is a wireless microphone. We receive it in a foldable cardboard box, to which the manufacturer adds a USB to USB-C power cable and two windproof covers ( fur and sponge ). There was also a comprehensive user guide, thanks to the brand CEO and a convenient poster. The design of the microphone resembles a thin flash drive or a small lighter. It was made of aluminum and plastic. On one of the long edges is an aluminum clip with an embossed brand name, allowing you to attach the microphone to a blouse or collar pocket.
On the bottom edge of the device is a USB-C port to recharge the built-in 140mAh battery , allowing up to 6 hours of playback. The top edge is split between the built-in microphone and the 3.5mm jack jack, which we can connect headphones to for audio monitoring. On one edge there is a power/wake button and gestures to control incoming voice calls. The device is very light – 16 g .

Before the first start-up, you must charge the built-in battery using the power cable that came with the device. With a USB port, this time should be about 45 minutes. The device uses Bluetooth 5.0 and above, allowing connection to mobile operating systems as well as to a desktop computer with a network adapter or laptop. In my case it was Acer Swift 3 ( AMD ) with Windows 11. Hardware pairing is almost instant.
The microphone is visible in audio software such as Audacity , in DaVinci Resolve , or in the default camera system application . It allows you to record audio for movies although it lacks any audio equalizer or supervisory software. The dedicated Razer Streaming app can be downloaded from Google Play and the App Store for assistance. Before we get started with that, we’ll focus on the following accessory, and now an audio sample from the microphone:
High Power Blurred LED [Razer Key Light Chroma]
The microphone is complemented by an LED light bulb. It was packed in a large box with a rich set of accessories. The manufacturer tried to get a convenient desk-mounted stand, a power charger with a set of adapters, a cable holder and the necessary items in the form of a comprehensive user manual with a label. Everything is packed in separate boxes and shipping bags. The lamp is also made of aluminum and plastic with a rough finish.
The size of the LED lamp is 360mm x 260mm, and its weight is around 1600g . The device has a rectangular shape with a slight rounding on the edges and four tripod threads on the sides. It allows easy installation of the lamp vertically or horizontally. There is a power slider on one side. On the front, a white LED panel is capable of displaying up to 16.8 million colors and a white balance from 2900K to 7000K. This combination will allow you to play with many shades of color and brightness. The highest brightness of the lamp is 2800 lumens!
On the rear edge there is also a private island with slots, a power socket and a button for pairing with the controller. The kit includes a mounting bracket which, after folded, allows us to attach the LED lamp to a desk with a thickness of up to 7.5 cm . The handle has rubber covers to prevent scratches, we attach the metal tube filled with foam by default on it and then tighten the movable head. This device has a swivel adjustment ring and locking mechanism to lock the lever in place. After all the elements are installed, we can freely adjust the lighting with respect to the object.
The only thing left for us is to power up the device using a dedicated wall charger. It’s so nice of the manufacturer that they gave us up to 6 international power supply compatible sockets for the kit. The length of the cable is 160 cm and thanks to a special adapter it can be extended by another 115 cm, giving us a total of 275 cm . Regarding connectivity, the device can be paired with a computer using Razer Synapse software, choosing a WiFi ( 2.4GHz ) device from the profile menu. It is important that the receiver and transmitter work in the same WiFi network. The button behind the lamp housing will also help pair the devices.
In this program, we adjust the brightness of the LED panel, as well as the white balance – cold and warm. The user can also activate the chroma backlight and control the multi-colored lighting while reducing the brightness to 15%. In this mode, we can adjust the backlight we are interested in from a rich color palette, as well as use the available animations and backlight modes. The app also allows you to set the best color or animation for other related devices in the app.

One app to rule them all
As part of the premiere of both of the above devices, the manufacturer decided to release an application for managing mobile devices. The Razer Streaming App will be available from the day it is launched for the mobile operating systems – Android and iOS. The app is very easy to use and requires permission from the parent device for wireless connection – WiFi 2.4GHz and Bluetooth 5.0+. For Seiren BT, you may get permission to answer calls. In the main menu we have access to two detected devices – BT and WiFi.
If there is a Seiren BT microphone on the main board, we can change the name of the device, check the battery charge and stop recording. Below you will find five options that are responsible, among other things, for checking the pairing connection with the device, starting artificial intelligence monitoring and eliminating sounds from the environment, as well as the volume. The manufacturer also used live listening capability and low latency mode start. By default, it is turned off, but if you want a fast transfer, for example during gameplay, it is worth checking it.
The LED light control issue is similar, but with the difference that we’re connecting here via WiFi. It will be possible to enter a password in the application, if our WiFi is secured with it. After successful pairing, the device is available for use. The seemingly simple app only has white balance and brightness controls, but the magic happens when we get into the Chroma Effect settings. Brightness will then be blocked to a maximum of 15% and we will have a comprehensive tool for determining colors and intensity as well as animations and playback modes.

Reading about the capabilities of the above set of extensions that support recording and publishing of video materials on the network, you may feel a little bewildered. In my opinion, it is a very developmental device with interesting possibilities, not only in terms of shooting, but also photography, artistic plein-air or lighting for home landscapes. This device is aimed more at professionals or advanced users than hobbyists who want to experiment with home recordings of gaming, cooking nooks or the art of using timeless lipstick. Simple and much cheaper accessories can be used for this type of task. Here we have to take into account the brand of the brand which is appreciated all over the world for gamers and as you know every such brand has its supporters and opponents.
Due to the use of the beta version, there were no very frequent hangs of the companion app, missing signal or minor bugs, which were thankfully corrected with another update. I’ve used the device both at home and outdoors, using the microphone primarily when recording in a crowded mall and in an empty room. I have no idea if it’s my ear or if this device has it, but at the moment the AI is cutting the environment, say, average. Most likely, the microphone picks up additional background sounds and modifies them in a way that significantly reduces their quality. I would like to compare such a sound with the lowest quality of a radio recording – it cuts off unwanted sounds from the environment very well.
I can’t say a bad word about the lamps. Assembly is convenient, the tripod connector allows it to be connected to other devices, increasing the freedom of configuration. The detachable cable allows the use of a longer or shorter cable, and when we have the right equipment – install an attached power bank. The companion app on your PC works great, but the mobile app is also useful. The lamp gets very hot, but only when changing colors frequently at a maximum brightness of 80%. The longest result I got was with the lamp constantly on and the shoot was about 5 hours. Then I had to turn it off because I started to smell melted plastic. After that, the device started normally, just say enough and take a break to cool the device properly.
Summary
Everyone was waiting for this moment. I tried to present these devices as closely as possible, especially at the time of the premiere. I think the Razer brand has made very exciting accessories for gamers, but not only because the Seiren BT microphone and the Razer Key Light Chroma lamp will also find applications in other industries. The only thing that is difficult to swallow in this case is the foreign market prices due to the world premiere. It is not yet known whether these devices will appear in Poland and how much they will cost. At the moment, I can give you approximate prices, which, when converted to PLN, do not look colorful at all.

Is it a lot or not – it depends on the sitting point and the amount of profits. It is known for certain that from March 10 they will be available for sale on the official Razer.com website and at authorized distributors. It is a first-class device with impeccable workmanship, capable of being connected to both mobile and stationary devices and, above all, with great potential in the hands of a foreign innovator.
