Best VPN Extensions for Google Chrome
Do you use Chrome and want to enjoy a VPN in your browser? Here are the plugins that will make this possible.
Most VPN vendors provide extensions for Chrome . Admittedly, these are not add-ons that have the same characteristics as regular VPNs , however, designed to protect network traffic. So they do nothing as an encrypted proxy which allows them to mask the transmission.
However, attention – this applies, of course, to the transfer that the browser performs. Carrying a Chrome VPN extension will not encrypt the data in the communication device used at the same time.
How does a Chrome VPN extension work?
This Chrome VPN extension encrypts your data transmission, allowing it to be hidden from network providers, and also makes it very difficult for potential snoopers to discover your real IP address.
You can also use the extension to access websites that are blocked in Poland (or another country) based on geographic location. For servers, the connection will be from the country where the server of your choice is located. The VPN plug will in no way affect the amount of data transfer.
However, as we stress again: we have an encrypted proxy here, not a VPN strictly speaking. It only works in the browser. The only exception is Express VPN – the provider has created an extension for the Chrome browser so in order to use it, you must first log into the desktop app.

Interestingly, not all VPN providers have extensions for Chrome – they haven’t created such extensions, among others Proton VPN and IVPN .

TunnelBear VPN requires a login via the service provider’s website. The extension’s interface is a scaled down version of the app’s interface – we even have a small map.
However, it does not have the same functions that the application offers us. However, there is the basic – that is, proxy encryption – that is enriched with blocking ads and trackers.
With the extension, you can choose one of the servers located in more than 20 countries. It may not be much, but it is usually enough to satisfy all the needs of the average user.

ExpressVPN
ExpressVPN is not only an extension for Chrome, but an extension with the same features as the app. However, to use it, you need to install it for that.
Prevent websites from detecting your real IP address and location. webRTC , HTTPS Everywhere (powered by EFF) redirects you to a more secure version of HTTPS for the websites you visit, even when ExpressVPN isn’t connected.

Private Internet Access VPN
