Offline digital payments refer to transactions that do not require an internet connection or communications. With this you can make offline payments from any card, wallet or mobile devices. However, the Reserve Bank of India said such payments could only be made face to face. RBI Offline Payment Terms and Conditions

  • As per RBI rules, for offline payments, transactions of up to Rs 200 are allowed. Apart from this, a maximum of 10 transactions i.e. up to 2,000 rupees will be allowed offline.

  • The biggest thing is that you will not need internet or mobile network for offline digital payments. In this case, the offline payment can be made through any means including face-to-face card, wallet and mobile.

  • According to RBI, no FTA authentication factor will be required for offline digital payments. At the same time, the payment will be done offline, so customers will receive an SMS or email alert after some time.
